Toby the Dog Soft Toy Sewing Pattern

Toby the Dog is 15 inch /39 cm felt toy dressed in traditional country clothes.

Designed to be hand sewn from felt and fabric, his stretch shirt, patterned waistcoat, cord trousers, scarf and boots are all removable so you can make more outfits for him to change into.

You can change his look by making him with patches on one or both sides of his head.

This PDF pattern contains full size templates for the Toby and his clothes, with 15 pages of step by step photos and detailed instructions.

You can download immediately after checkout and print the pattern at home.

Toby is designed for hand stitching, but you can also use a sewing machine if you wish. You're welcome to contact me if you need any help with making him.

To make Toby you will need;

18 x 10 inches/45 x 25cm white felt for the head, body and arms

10 x 10 inches/24 x 24cm dark brown felt for the patches, ears and tail

8 x 8 inches/20 x 20cm striped cotton fabric for the legs (or you can use white felt)

Scraps of mid brown felt for the eyes and paws

Scraps of black felt for the pupils and nose

9 x 9 inches/22 x 22cm stretch knit fabric for the shirt

12 x 9 inches/30 x 23cm cord fabric for the trousers

11 x 5 inches/28 x 13cm cotton print fabric for the waistcoat

10 x 6 inches/26 x 14cm another cotton fabric for the waistcoat lining

11 x 8 inches/26 x 20cm cotton print fabric for the scarf

6 x 5 inches/15 x 12cm dark brown felt for the boots

3 x white 6mm buttons

8 inches/20cm round elastic

About 4oz/120g poly toy filling

Sewing thread and/or stranded cotton embroidery thread in matching colours
