Moon gazing puffin framed embroidery

Moon-gazing Puffin is a miniature felt embroidery of a puffin under the full moon, with Skellig Michael in the background. The Skelligs are the wild and isolated islands off the Irish south west coast, which are a haven for seabirds.

I hand-stitched felt shapes to the background, then embroidered the details and framed the scene in a 4 inch/10cm wooden hoop, which I hand painted.

Each little scene is made individually, and no two are exactly the same, but the Moon-gazing Puffin design will closely resemble these photos.
